GOVERNOR OP BERMUDA. By Telesr»ph-Presa AEsoclation^Ooryrieht Bermuda, March 7. Lieutenant-General Sir Frederick Kitchener is dead, the cause being appendicitis. Lientenant-Gencral Sir Frederick Walter Kitchener, K.C.8., is a younger brother of Lord Kitchener. He was born in 1858, and entered the Army in 1876. Two years later ho saw active service in the Afghan War, being mentioned in dispatches. In the Dongola Expedition of IS'JIi he acted as Director of Transport. In tho Sudan campaign of 1898, in which Lord Kitchenor won his title, his brother also took part. Tho deceased General also saw active service during the first year of the South African War. Ho was appointed Governor of Bermuda in 1008.
