iliy TcleirapU-I'ress Association! Auckland, March 7. The Aria correspondent of the "Herald" telegraphed late to-night that nil attempt to destroy the mail conch there by fire failed. Kerosene was sprinkled on boxes of butter in the coach, but the flames were extinguished with buckets of water. An attempt was also made to blow up the local itore, owned by tho coach proprietor, but this also failed. The detail.; are niragre, but the detectives nre investigating.
