FEILDING NEWS.
At the instance of the Beautifying Societv a felc is to be held in Feilding on April 17, as a moans of raising funds lo carry out the society's r>lans foi 1 improving l-'eilding's streets. The Feilding-Kongotea Primitive Methodist circuit has'decided that the voting upon Methodist union should take place in I''eil(ling on Monday evening next, and, in Kongotcn, on Tuesday. The other places are to he arranged, and it is urged that all members will avail themselves of recording their vote upon this important question. In the Magistrate's Court yesterday, before Mr. Thomson, S.M.. J. 11. Martin, licensee of the Awahuri Hotel, was charged with permitting drunkenness on his premises. Accused was fined.£lo, with 345. costs-, the license to bo endorsed, l'ercival Martin, barman at the Awahuri Hotel, was chared with supplying liquor to YV. Stewart while the latter was under the influence of drink. The licensee was lined £10, with Hs.. costs, his 'Worship stating that, though tho charge' was against the barman, it was the licensee who was responsible.
