Messrs. Dalgetv and Co., Ltd., Wellington. report as follows on their fortnightly stock sale at Upper Hiitt yesterday :-\<o had a. good yarding of all classed ol fheep, notwithstanding the unfavourable weather, and a, lair yarding or cattle. Kidding was slow at the beginning, but we disposed of practically, every pen. I lie following prices were lealiseib-l'orwnrd wethers, lis. 6d.; fat ewes, lis. to 12s. 2d.; ■I, 6, and f.f.m. ewes, 12s. 7d.; cull ewes, 4s. Gel. to ss. 4d.; fat lambs, lCs. 7d.; small lambs. 4s. <?<l. to ss. 7d.: .Shropshire rams, j to 3J guineas; 3 to 4-yeai- bullocks, £6 12s. 6d. to £7; store cows, £3 6s. to £5 2s. 6(1.: cows in calf, £6 155.: springing heifers, £i lCs. to £7 lis.; yearlings, 385.; weaners, 225. 6d. to 295.; golding, aged, £13 10s.stcssr= Dalgcly and Co., Ltd., report:—At our Palmerston sale yesterday there was a fair cntrv of sheep and a good yarding of cattle, which sold at the following prices:—Shorn lambs, Bs. 7d.; woolly lambs, 6d.; cull ewes, to Bs.; 2-tootli ewes, 135.; store cows, £1 Us. to £2 5-t.; weancr heifers, £2 5?.; weaner steens, £2 55.; bulls. £2 10s. On account of Messrs. Slack Bros., who have sold their property, they offered about 100 18-month heifers, which had been running with Ayrshire bulls. After spirited competition these sold at £3 19e., £4 10s„ £5 55., £6 lis. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—At our Palmerston North sale on Thursday we had a pood yarding of both Sheep and cattle, which met with a. good demand. Sheep: 4 and 5-ycar ewes (good), 12s. 9d.; purebred Itomney ewes, 1 guinea; 2-tooth wethers (small), 9s. Id. to 10s.: best lambs, Bs. 7d.; smallor, 3s. 5d., E5..7d., 6». 3d. to 6s. Bd. Cattle: Fat cows. £4 16s. to £5; forward cows, £4 Is. to £4 95.; store cowa, £2 173. Gd.; weaners, 13s. 6d. to 20a. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd. (Palmerston North branch), report as follows:—Sales have been held during the week at Rangiotu, Eaumai. Palmerston North, and a clearing sale at Bainesse. At Eangiotu, on Monday, we had a good entry of sheep and a heavy yarding of cattle. A good sale resulted, and very little was turned out. unsold. Sheep: Lambs. £a 10s.; aged owes, 6?. Id. Oattle: Weaners (small), 12s. 6d.; medium, 20s. to 255.; small heifers, £2 175.; heifers in calf, £4 to £4 2s. 6d.; springing cows, £6 ss. to £7; store cows, £3 Is. 6d. to £4; fat cows, £5 to £5 125.; 15-months steers, £2 12s. 6d. to £2 16s. 6d.; 18-months steers, £3 10s.; bulls, £2 to £3 2s. 6d. At Eaumai. on Tuesday, a good yarding of sheep and a. small entry of cattle came forward. Sheep sold well, and mil lines were quitted at satisfactory prices. Sheep: Cull ewes, 3s. 2d. to 55.; f.m. ewes, to 10s.; cull 2-tooth ewes. 9s. 3d.; 2-tooth owes (small), 12s. 3d.; 2-tooth wethers, 13s. 6d.; rape lambs, 9s. 2d.; aged rams, IDs. Cattle: Weaners (small), 14s. 6d.; ditto (good), 325. 6d. to 365. 6d. At the clearing sale at Bainesse on Wednesday we sold dairy stock on account of Messrs. Woodroofe and Broad. There was a fair attendance of buyers, and a good sale resulted. The cows were young, but mostly due to calve late in the season, and prices ranged from £4 10s. to £9 17s. 6d., averaging £6 lte. Heifers in calf made £4 ss. to £5 10s. Horses: Spring carters. £12 to £17 ss. At Palmerston North on Thursday a good entry of sheep and cattle came forward, and we were successful in placing the bulk of our entry. Sheep: Store lambs, ss. 7d., 6s. 6d. to 7s. 3d.; owe lambs, Bs. Bd.; f.m. ewea, 9s. 7d. Cattle: Weaners, 225. 6d. to 275.; store cows, £2 10s.; 2i-year steers, £5; 15-months steers. £3; fat cows. £5 7s.j aged cows, 30s. to 375. 6d.; bulls, £3 15s.
