A rumour that tho sanatorium for consumptives at Cambridge is about to be closed has gained some currency lately, but it can be given a, complete denial. Tho intention, far from beiug to close it, is to develop it as much as possible, but along new lines. In future it will not be used, except to a limited extent, for the treatment of acute cases', "but will ho devoted'to patients who, having already been treated at other sanatoria, till their disease has been checked, have to find a place where they can continue for a period of months, or a year o rtwo, suc:h treatment as will end the tendency for tho disease to recur. Such an - institution- has lons been wanted.
