A MATAURA RECORD.

LAMB WEIGHING 112 POUNDS. A record lamb was slaughtered at the Mataura Freezing Works last Tuesday, according to the. "Press." The animal was one of a line that was being put through for Messrs. C. D. M'Connefl and Co., and was bred by Messrs. Eoxby Bros., Mataura. One of twins lambed in August, it turned the scales at 1121b., which constitutes a record for tho works. Tho provious record was a lamb killed in July, 190S, five months later in the season, which weighed 951b. The lamb killed on Tuesday was running practically from its birth among cows.
