It was resolved that Kotonui should be relieved for a fifth year, and 'J'aihape for a fourth and final year. The conference, decided that ■Wellington (Tnranaki Sti'ecl) should not be relieved, but that a married man should be appointed this year. South Wairarnpa was relieved for a (-eventh year, and Levin and Olaki for a fourth and final year. It was decided that «. married man should be appointed to Pahiatua with a substantial grant. Motueka was relieved for the twelfth year, the committee's that it should be reduced to a home mission station being defeated. It was resolved that a married man be appointed to Wo-tport with a .suitable grant. Kaiapoi (second) was rnlievccl for a fourth year, Dunedin (Trinity sFcnnd) for a second year, and liivcrcarßill (second) for a third year. The conferencD decided that a suitable Brant should be made to Dunedin (Cavgill Koad, second), to enable it lo fulfil its obligation, and that a niarrii'd man should bo appointed to Mosgiel. In view of the larger population and the brighter prospect of flip development of Piclon, the committee recommended that a second minister in ll>.o Blenheim circuit should reside at .l'icton. The recommendation was adopted. It was also resolved that a home missionary should remain at Tiinmarina. It; was decided that claims for probationers should be considered in the following order:—Chiislchuri'h (Durli'im Street). 'TV Kuiti, and lluntly, and that I the circuits due to receive uiarried instead of Millie ministers should be considered in the followimr order:—Dunedin (Cargill lioad), We'Hn'jton (Taranald Street), 'Wcstport, l'ahialna, and Mosjjiel. The report of the acting-nrinoipal (Hie Rev. W. A. Sinclair) uponthe theoinsicjil and training institution f<ir the year endin? October 31, stated that ten students had been in residence during the year and all had worked well. Mr. Sinclair expressed the opinion that a higher standard of educational attainments should be required from candidate?, wh.oje acceptance should be delayed until they hnd approximated to the matriculation standard. A cominiti.ee was appointed to make a full report to the next conference upon the curriculum of the institution. The principal (the I!ev. .T. Neale, Ttorace L. Bichards, William Eowe, •Snmucl J, Werren. Tho following students have been received on probation:—Messrs. Clyde L. Carr, H. Scrivin, Robert B. Goswell, 'William Lea, Frederick B. Lawrence, John E. Parsons, and William Walker.

Eight candidates were received for theological training, namely:— Jlessrs Aldwyn Gordon (Duncdin), Alfred J. L. urinific (Mnstcrton), Sydney J. Mojn-idfO (Blenheim). Wallace S. KcaV (FcildhA Henry J.
