"The Swimming Club, in its first year, must be congratulated on its .success. The club was launched quietly, nnd has worked quietly, but itjnteml.s to push matters much more vigorously next season. Among the members are many keen swimmers, and with the experience gained the hardworking ollicers should have the club on a firm footing for next year's sport. The carnival held on February 10 at the Te Aro Baths was quite a triumph, and a high standard has bion set for future years. It is pleasing to note the hearty support given bv Old Hoys to the movement, and the club is a distinct gain owl credit to (lie association. "The matter of the board's re])re.?entaI inn on the Board nf Governors was ii-niin brought before the board, but no satisfaction was obtained. The association's annual cricket match with the prevent boys of the college was played early in December, and resulted in a win for the present lwys. As recommended, a special donation of'.£2 25., was made to the college to provide a prize for rillo shooting, and your committee begs to suggest that n similar donation be made, this year. In addition, the usual donations were made—namely, .C 5 ss. to the ground fund nnd i:2 2s. for the Old Boys' prize. "Mr. Urudie again kindly consented to net as our representative at the college.
