AUCKLAND FISH DISPUTE.
DEADLOCK CONTINUES. (By TeloeraDh—Press Association.) Auckland, March 3. The deadlock between the. Auckland fishermen and wholesale dealers continues. At a mass meeting of fishermen, however, several important propositions were brought forward, including a suggestion from a firm of Auckland auctioneers to establish a mart at which the fish may be sold at auction. The chairman said that although tho troublo still continued the position, from the fishermen's point of view, was to be regarded as in every way satisfactory. During the week most of the fishermen had been out and had been successful in gaining good hauls. No difficulty had been experienced in emitting their catches at good prices from tho wharves to the public and tho hawkers. A motion was carried unanimously declining an offer and reaffirming tho decision not to sell for less than 2s. (id. per bundle wholesale, or Bs. per bundle retail.
