The Australian Jockey Club has decided that geldings shall not be eligible to run in future Derbies. It has increased tho added money to the stakes for the 1912-13 season to .£62,750, which is £0350 above tho figures for the current season. The principal increases are: Sydney Cup, £4000 to wEoOOO; Epsom, Metropolitan, Doncaster, and Randwick Plates, and Cumberland Stakes, each ,£500; Summer Cup, Sydney and Place Handicaps, each £250. The.Sires' Produce Stakes, 1914, has also been increased by £500.
