PACIFIC CABLE.
TENDERS ACCEPTED FOR NEW • LINES. By Tf.iecraph-Preae Associatlon-OopyrlEftl London, February 28. The Pacific Cable Board has accepted the India Rubber, Gntta Percha, and Telegraph Works Co.'s tender to construct and lay a cable from the neighbourhood of Sydney, probably at liondi, to Auckland, also to bring the Norfolk Island cable to Auckland instead of Doubtless Bay. It is expected that both contracts will be completed about Christmas next.
