SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Present indications are for warm and hazy weather, foggy and showery at times, in parts. The barometer ha 3 a falling tendency, and moderate to strong easterly and northerly winds will probably prevail. The weather has been generally very warm and humid. Heavy rain fell on Werir.ssday night in the north, and showers fell in parts to-day, with fair to cloudy skies. The winds have been principally from the east and north,, and generally moderate. D. 0. Feilding, February 29.—The hottest day this summer; line, cool evening. l'almcrstoa, February 29.—A little rain fall last night. To-day has been fine, and very hot. Otaki, February . 29.—Bright sunshine; heat oppressive. Carterton, February 29—A beautiful heavy rain fell on Wednesday. Thursday broke fine and warm.' ' Featherston, February 23.—Fine day, with passing clouds. W&nganui, February 29—Occasional showsrs, but otherwise fine.
