The annual report commented on tho continued enlargement of the cable service, which had nearly doubled in three years, and, notwithstanding the decrease in rates, was costing .£IOOO a year more than two years ago, despite tho omission of minor claims. (Applause.) The report was adopted. Messrs. I'- Blundell and Selig were reelected directors, and Mr. F. Shaw auditor. , Auckland was chosen for tho next placo of .meeting. The members passed a vote of condolence on the dentil of the late Mr. W. •\tkin, of tho Wostport "News," and one of hearty congratulation to Mr. Brett on his journalistic jubilee, was carted with great applause.
