Choose, a flat dish, batter it well, arrange the halves of peaches on it neatly, convex side upwards, and fill up the spaces with fine breadcrumbs. Mix with the syrup of the peaches a smicew) of lemon' juice, and a little sugar, l'our over the peaches and cover them with breadcrumbs. Put bits of butter all over the top or pour oiled butter over it. Put the dish in a quick oven, and brown nicely. Serve with cream or custard. FOR TO-MORROW. Three flounders, lemon, parsley, French beans, blue plums, stale bread.
