(Dy TcleGraph.-Special Correspondent.) Wanganui, February 28. A girl of 17 pleaded guilty at the Magistrate's Court this morning to a charge of attempted suicide. She was recently before the. Court as the appellant in an affiliation case, subsequent to the birth of her illegitimate child. The girl had been violently upbraided by her fnther, and, in a fit of desperation, had taken a dosci of Jeyes fluid. Sho only recovered after three weeks in the hospital. His Worship gave the girl some soun 1 advice and discharged her.
