When seized, he stated that his reasons for firing was that the Government was suppressing Tolstoi's teaching on the Messiah. The revolver was fully loaded with ball cartridge. (Rec. February 28, 0.10 a.m.) London, February 27. The man who fired the revolver states ho is a licensed preacher named Henry. Ho came to the House of Commons lo sco Mr. Asquitli. The last timo a firearm was discharged in the House of Commons was on May 11, 1812, when Bellingham shot tho Prime Minister of tho day, Mr. Spencer Perceval.
