BURGLARIES IN SYDNEY.
AN EXCHANGE OF SHOTS. ; By Telegraph—Press Association— CopyrleM (Hoc. February 26, 9.0 p.m.) Sydney, February 26. Several daring burglaries have occurred in tlio city rcccntly. This morning Mr. Thompson, a. resident of llandwick, discovered a man in his bedroom. Ho fired two shots as tho intruder was escaping. The man called out that ho was shot. AYhilo Ml'. Thompson was afterwards standing on tho balcony, several shots were lired at him, but none o*t' flicm was cft'eefcive. Tho burglar escaped with considerable loot.
