The snecial commission of agricultural engineers sent by the Uruguayan Government to study tho pastoral, ngricultui aI, and live stock industries in Enrol*, North America, and Australia, arrived at the Bluff to-day from Melbourne, and will go on to Timaru by the first express tomorrow. Tlieso men aro all students, anil all young (the eldest is. 2G), picked from different colleges, and tho scheme is that jacli of them will furnish liii independent report. Thoy are especially interested in pastoral pursuits, thoir country being largely pastoral. They liked Australia, and were greatly impressed by itawkeabury College. There is nothing like it in their country. They all speak hpanish and French, and some of then; -bnglisli.
