Murphy, of Ilokifika, mado a successful asccat of Mt. Cook yesierdav, under good conditions. The parly had a good trip. Miss IJu Faur, of New South Wales, who last year ascended Mt. Cook, lias climbed a virgin peak 011 Moorhouse Range—a stiff climb. Khe is to select a uame for it.
