MINING NEWS.
WELLINGTON SHARE MARKET. Mining is dull so far as the development companies are concerned, but for the larger mines values are steady, although there is vcrv little speculation. On tlie West Coast of the South Island the labour difficulty is inconvenient, and is bcinsr felt 'bv the Consolidated group. Several attempts have been made to come to a satisfactory arrangement with labour, but so "far without success. Many of the smaller companies, both in Auckland ond the West Coast, arc petting protection, and closing down until the money position is better, and they are able to get in calls. There will he a mining revival when the labour troubles aro overcome. There were no transactions on 'Change yesterday. The buying and selling quotations were as under;Buyers. Sellers. £ s. d. £ s. d.
