Hawthorne has disposed of the King George Theatre and Town Hall Buildings at lower Butt. The new proprietors will take the building over in a few weeks. Meantime Mr, Hawthorne will contiuuo j" the capacity of manager. The Returning Ofh'eer for the Hutt Licensing District has received Mr. Maurice Whiteivood Welch's nomination ns a candidnle for the Hutt Licensing Committee. Mr. Welch's nominators are-. Messrs. John S. Milne, Cieo. Hooper, and E. W- Cnttle. The Hutt Xo-Lieense Leagno have decided to continue their ordinary monthly meetings right up till the time of tho next licensing election. Mr. J. . Woolley, who was up till recently assistant.
