LADIES AT THE TILLERS. On Saturday last {.lie Port Nicholson Yiicht Chili decided a race, in which each yaflit was sailed by a lady. Tiic weather conditions were perfect, a lij-'lit southerly prcrniling, mid the event eu'.it«l a good deal of interest. Tho jaclits were sailed by the iullmviiig ladies:—.Viil\inu, Miss Duncan; Siren, Miss Aslin; Jlahaki, Jliss Alexander; Lizzie, Sliss Xiglietti Windward, Mrs. Millinan; Bawene, Jliss A. Kiernan. llfnveiie (Slinin.) won the race, finishing at 1.22 p.m., Windward (imin.) caino second, finishing 1 minuto Inter, mid Mahiua (Jriiin.) (hird, finishing at '1.-'iO p.m. '.the other boats finished as follows:— Siren (scr.) 4.31 p.m., Mahaki (12miu.) 4.31 p.m., and Lizzio (Sinin.) 4.32 p.m.
