THE FINISH AT MELBOURNE. 8y Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright ' (Eec. Februnry 26, 0.45 a.m.) Melbourne, February 25. Thirty thousand people witnessed' the final of the six-days' cycling. Ssven teams remained' in yesterday morning, ,and sis were level. Doetzauer, of Germany, was a' lap behind Bell after one hundred and forty-one hours' riding, end, failing to recover the deficit, retired. Splendid sprinting was witnessed in the last stages. Hehir headed. Gascoyne past tho two thousand miles' mark. In tho last three laps Goullett sprinted with wonderful effort, and just managed to beat Lawson, with Clark :lose up third. The teams finished as tollow:—Goullett and Hehir (Internaiional), first; Lawson and iMitten (Amorlca), second; .Clark and M'Namara (Australia), third; Walker nm\ Grenda (Australia), fourth;'Gascorno and Lloyd (International), fifth. The distance covered was two thousand and twenty-six miles, against two thousand and eightyBix at Sydney, which the same team jron.
