MOTOR-BICYCLE MYSTERY.
WRECKED .MACHINE ON THE EOAD. A mystery, which inquiry at the Police Station and also at the hospital failed to explain, surrounds the circumstances connected with tlie discovery of a wrecked motor-bicycle on the hill road between Puekakariki and i'ahautanui. There was no house within five miles of the spot, which overlooked a declivity, at the foot of which was a stream. According to the statement of Mi , . S. \V. Moult, who saw the machine lying there, the general appearance of tlie bicycle pointed to a collision. There was no sign of the rider, but the number-plate indicated that Palmerston North was his place of abode.
