HANDLING MANURE CARGOES.
WATERSIDE WORKERS AND FARMERS' UNIOX.
Tho Auckland Executive of tho Farmers' Union had a conference recently with the 'Waterside Workers in regard to the handling of manures in paper-lined bags. The result of tiie conference was that it was agreed that on or nfter three months, or such further period as might be mutually agreed upon, all manures be shipped in'bags not exceeding 1101b. in weight, such bags to havo four lugs—two at each end—and the material .of which tho bags are made to be approved of by a-joint-committee. All bags to bo thoroughly 'sewn and in cases where double bags aro to be used, tho inner ono to be rolled or sewn. The Waterside Workers agreed to use every possible caro in handling manure cargoes.
