LICENSING COMMITTEE.
THE SUBURBS AND COUNTRY. The Solicitor-General, haying advised that as two licensed houses (Porirua and Pahautanui) had conic into the Wellington Suburbs and Country District through the alteration of boundaries, it will l:e necessary to havo a licensing committee for Hie period from tho second Tuesday in March up to June 30, when the_ licenses expire owing to this being a No-Liecnso distriot. Nominations close with tho Returning Officer (Mr. J. Salmon) on March 2, and a poll (if necessary) will be . held on March 12.
