Both butter factory and creamery sites have,, been reserved oft tha block, and settlers can, if thoy desire, later on form their own co-operative factory, but in tho meantimo the Northern Wairoa Co., who have their faotory at Dargavills, on th« bank of tho river, doeire to secure all the trade here to expand their busineß3, and are willing to make arrangements to take away daily cream from the settlers. No doubt this arrangement will suit best, and as ,it is a co-operative factory it should suit (ho new settlers (o join it, as it is now becoming a very largo concern, and it will bo able to pay better prices than a smaller concern. The butter factory will become an immense business on the' Wairoa, as there are 100,000 acres of the richest white pine swamps along the banks of the Northern Wairoa awaiting development, while tho celebrated Kaupo or Tokatoka swamp—some 21,000 acresis mostlv going into dairying. The Northern Wairoa Factory has doubled its output this year for the same months compared with last.
