ROYAL LIFE SAVING SOCIETY.

CONSTITUTION ADOPTED. (By Teleerapt-Presa ABsooiaiion.i Christchurch, February 22. The adjourned conference of delegate* from the provincial centres ot the Koyai Life Saving Society resumed to-day. ine Special' Committee appointed presented tho following draft of the constitution for the proposed contra} executive:"(1) That this body be termed the Dominion Executivo of the Koyal Life Snvin; Society, and that it be composed of il member!, one to bo elected by each head centre of the. Koyal Lite Saving Societv in Now Zcalund. Members to lie elected biennially. ~ , ~ .. "(2) That it act os a distributingmedium for all Roods supplied by the Roy'i Life Saving Society s headquarters, ami all moneys granted for general use oi the society in the Dominion; that it act as Parliamentary Committee to watch legislation affecting tho interests of llio M>cietv; that it conduct tho propaganda, work of the society throughout the Dominion; that it act as ummro m cases of dispute between local head centres and generally undertake all work wh eh will not como into conflict with th« present working of local head centres. "«) That this constitution shall not lie altered except at the annual conference o delegates ten clear, weeks' notice o such alteration to be. given to each head centre and a two-thirds ninjonty to be Quired to carry such alteration into effect." ~ j i j The constitution was adopted. If was proposed that the headquarters of the Central Executive should be in Ciristchurch, and that a Provisiona Executive should bo set up to draft }-l»«s for the permanent executive, the sugee<dion was adopted. ~ g Th" following Provisional Executive was elected; Messrs. K. S. Basse t, .G. Billsona J. Ager, VA. onnbrook, J. A. Clarke, and W. Johnston.
