Groat interest hns boon aroused in Sydney by the announcement made by Mr. Kecle, a member oftho Sydney Harbour Trust, that he had a scheme in , liis drawer which, it carried out, would enable ship's of 00,1)00 tons to be berthed in Sydney Harbour. Suggestions wore made at the time that the announcement was premature, but since then (be proposal has developed somewhat, and the plans to which Mr. Keole referred have been brought before.the notice of members of the Government, prior •to their being looked into, formally, by the Cabinet. For the time being the- plans are not available for public inspection, and the only comment thnt Mr. Daoay, the Minister in chnrge oftho Department, would make when interrogated on the subject on Friday last, was that Mr. Kcele had made "a very bold proposal indeed, one which would "mean a big alteration in tho city of Sydney, nnd'oiie which would give everybody food for comment and consideration." •
