TO-BAY'S DINNER.

FRIDAY. Pen Simp. Boiled Schnapper. Lobster Sauce. I'otatocs. Green Teas. Baked Dnfe Pydtliiiß. BAKED DATE PUDDING. 2oz broad crumbs, ioi. dates (stoned mid cut up), 1 apple (peeled, cored, and sliced), .J lemon rind (grated), 3 (fills milk, - eggs (yolks a>nd whites separated), 2oz. castor sugar, glace cherries, angelica. Mix the breadcrumbs, grated lemon rind.' loz. castor sugar, and the stoned d'tilcs, cut into small pieces. Grcaso a pio dish with butter, nnd put a layer ot the crumbs, etc., in the. bottom ot tho dish. Cover with sliced apple, nnd then more crumbs, etc. Beat up the yolks ot eggs add the milk, and pour gently into •i pie dish. Bake »> a moderate oven for one hour. Whisk the whites of eggs lo a stiff froth, stir in the remainder of the sugar, and heap the meringue on top of tho pudding. Dust with castor cu"nr and decorate with glace cherries and angelica, and put tho pudding in a cool oven to set the meringue. Servo hot.
