SUMMARY ANB FORECAST
Present indications are fov stormy conditions, with high westerly winds generally. Oloudy and unsettled weather, with rain, probable everywhere, but especially on the West Coast. Heavy seas are to be expected on the West Coast and in Cook and Foveaux Straits. The barometer is very unsteady, and likely to continue so for several days. The. barometer rose everywhere during Monday night, but has fallen low again in the south to-day. Strong westerly winds have prevailed, with unsettled weatherrain in parte, especially on the West Coast and southern districts. D. 0. BATES. Meteoroloßical Office, Wellington, February 20, 1912.

Otaki, February 20.—Dull. Fcathorslou, February 20.—Overcast, strong N.W. wind. Grcymouth, Fobruary 21.—The weather continues unsettled. It blew very hard last nijlit.
