THE COMING ELECTION,

Tho coming Mayoral election in the city is already boing talked of, and candidates, possible and probable, aro being mentioned. It is understood that Mr. Wilford will offer himwlf for reelection. Other naim-s mentioned are those of the Hon. T. W. Hidop, Messrs. I). .1. Nathan, J.. P. Luke, and K, Fletcher. All these gentlemen wore questioned last evening l)y a Dominion reporter. Their answers were very much alike. Mr. Luke said he had not considered Die matter. Mr. Hislop raid ho had no intention of being a candidate, and had not even thought, of it. Mr. Nat linn said he "wouldn't look at it." Mr. Fletcher said he knew nothing of any suggestion that he should stand for the Mayoralty. The Mayoral elections arc lipid in .April.
