Tho Petone Workingmen's Club havo decided to erect a new • building. The structure is to be of bn'ck, and will have two stories. A prize of .£SO is being offered for the best design, with specifications. It is understood that a building costing something like .£3OOO is required. ■ .A sitting of the Lower Hutt Magistrate's Court wm held yesterday morning. Mfssrs. G. A. Chapman and J. Hector v. V. G. Vercoe was adjourned till March 18. ■At .1.30 yesterday morning a fire broke out in a five-roonwl villa in Pretoria Street.
