ROMNEY MARSH FAIR.
REPRESENTATIVE ENTRIES. Entries for the first annual stnd ram fair to bo held by the New Zealand Romney Marsh Sheepbreeders' Association at the Masterton A. and P. Association's showgrounds on Thursday, February 22, have been made by the following breeders: Gray Bros., Fairburn, Masterton; W. Perry, Penrose, Masterton; W. C. Ladbpok and Son, Charlton, Southland; W. H. Allen,'Marshlands, Clareville; E. I. Wilson, Ililisboiirne, Johnsonville; G. K. Allen, Tipua, Masterton; Smith Bro's., Linton; P. Mungavin, AVillowbank, Porirua; W. C. Dorsett, Kahikatea, Carterton; A. and J. Gray, Parkvale, Masterton; Smith Bros., l'aekakariki; J. E. Hewitt, Mangamaire; Win. liayner, Masterton; A. L. Wheeler, Stauwav. Halcombe; W 7 . F. Jacob, Te Maram, lCiwitea; A. Buchanan, Jersey Holme, Palmerstou North; Ernest Short, Parorangi, I'eilding; J. 11. 'J'atham, Homewood, Masterton ; Robert Tanner, Lansdale,'l.ongburu. The entries total seventy-one. The largest entry is made.by Mr. Short—viz., 12, Messrs. Gray Bros., and Mungavin being . next with six entries each.
The association is donating there prizes (i 3, oC2, and .61) for tho best shearling anil two-shear stud rams entered for the stud sale. Tho association is also giving three prizes (J!o, £3, and .£2) for the best pens of fivo flock rams entered at the Masterton A. and P. Association's ram fair.
