The final detachments of the army of invading oarsmen arrived yesterday. There_ aro over ono hundred and fifty of the visitors in town, and their prosenco is being made manifest by tho groups of lean, brown men, with parti-coloured ribbons and small coxswain attendants to bo seen going to and from the boatsheds. Yesterday most of tho crews were out for their final spins, and the harbour presented an appearance of unwonted activity.

Tho big race, the Senior Fours, in Which the two champion crows, Picton and Wanganui Union, aro pitted against ono another, is schednlwl for 2.15 p.m., and the Maiden Fours, in which thoro are thirteen tftarters, for 1.45 pju. The public will be afforded an opportunity of seeing the events from the "follow-the-race rtcamer, which leaves tho Ferry Wharf at 1 o'clock, and calls at tho Taranaki Street Wharf between the races.
