During seven years past 215 books have been stolen from the library of the Peterborough Cathedral, ona book being worth 41800. John Tinkler, a clergyman's eon, has been arrested in connection with the thefts. Two of the oldest books in the library of the Lincoln Cathedral have also disappeared. '
