THE NEW STAMPS OFFICE.
Sir,—lt was originally intended, the public were led to. believe, that the Stamps Olliee wa« to rest from its wanderings in the new G.P.0., an ideal place for such an institution, retjuired every moment of the day by all sorts and conditions of people. Why, oh! why, is it to be placed in the wilds of Sydney Street? Does the Government, true to its traditions in the past, want in its last dying threes to inflict ono more insult and inconvenience upon the haled Wellington people? Mcthfnks I discern the kindly hand of the genial Roderick in this matter.—l am, etc., ARGUS.
