* SUMMARY AND FORECAST Present indications arc for high southerly to south-easterly winds, with cold and damp weather generally. Heavy rain is probable on the East Coast, and heavy showers g2neral!y, with a rising barometer everywhere soon. The weather is likely to clear up about Saturday morning in most parts of the country. Strong westerly winds, veering to southerly, are npoited everywhere. Rain has fallen in nsost parts of the country.
