MONTHLY MEETING.

The Hospital Committee of tho Welling ton Hospital and Charitable Aid Board mot yesterday afternoon. There were present:'—Messrs. If. C. Kirk (chairman). H. Baldwin, G. Nash. 13. H. Gardener, J. Godbcr, G. T. London, F. T. Moore, W. 'J'ompsitl, J. Trevor, Hev. H. Van Staveron. .......

The House and Finance Committee reported ns follows:—The eommiltee recommended and reported:—'.'That the tenders of Messrs. Oeurgo and George for the .supply of furniture, and Messrs. Briseoe and Co. for cutlery and crockery huve been accepted for I In , Children's Hospital. That this resignations of .Mr. Ci. C. Breen, assistant dispenser, ami Nurse 5f. J M. Edward VII Memorial Hospital' (Children's Hospital) on Vebruary 14, and that the contractor's maintenance of the, works for three months will commence from that dale. That the Kcv.. If. Van Staveren, Mr. London, and the chairman (Mr. Kirk) bo a sub-commitleo to submit a draft of the wording of tablet, to be crcr'.ed in the Children's Hospital in connection wit! , , its opening. "That Mr. Trevor and the chairman (Jlr. Kirk), wlro were deputed to arrange with Jlr. \V. C. Clulfield on behalf of Messrs. Bryant and May, Bell and Co., IJ.d., in connection with the stoppage of the storm water drain, report that tenders liaii been obtained for <-aiT,ving out the drainage, the board's share of tho cost being under .C2O, the board having the right to extend the drain. That the necessary deed whereby Messrs. The report was adopted. The Otnki Sub-Committee reported:— "That in connection with the appointment of Nurse Lewis, by the ■ Hospital Department, us nurse, for Maori health work in the Otaki district, Otaki was considered as the most central' locality where the nurse should be stationed; and that Nurse Lewis take up her duties as soon ns arrangements for suitable private lodgings are made.
