. 1, SUMMARY AND FORECAST
Present indications are for stormy weather about Cook Strait and to the southward. High northerly and westerly winds will probably prevail, with a falling barometer everywhere. Cloudy and unsettled weather, with rain following, generally. Heavy Eea6 probable on the West Coast after about thirty-six bourn, when the winds are likely to veer lo the southward. Cloudy and hazy weather is extending over the Dominion, and rain has fallen in the soiithernmo.H districts. The barometer has fallen steadily in the south, and has had a falling tendency in the north, with freshening northerly winds generally, D. 0. BATES.
