HURRICANE IN FIJI.
GREAT DAMAGE DONE. (By Tsleenißh-Press Association.! Auckland, February 12. Some additional news of tho hurricane which recently visited Fiji came to hand via Sydney tu-day, in a letter received by Mr. J. li. Turner. Writing under dale of February 1, a correspondent states that t\ie storm "was experienced iu Suva, Levuka, Kowa, Navua, and from \ ltu Levu Bay to Levuka, 'Die Han and Tavua coasts had n slight hurricane and (loods. Labasa and Tuvivmi had a severe hurricane, and heavy floods were experienced lit Remi, Navua, ami Lnlmsa. The Gros Stichel banana crop was ripped right out ■of the ground, ami (here was a probability of the Chinese bananas f.lso lwins lost.
