SEVEN YOUNG SUSPECTS. Of late there has l»en a number of attempts to enler Wellington business promises. Between last Saturday and ycslorday several places were broken into. ilio office of Messrs. Tho W.F.C.A. stores on I,ajnbton Quay received attention, and a quantih- ofcontectioncvy was taken ~,?'^ S !'" v H- and Co.'s prelnises in I'catherston Street were broken Bohvoon the same Jays the premises of the Books and Papers firm were entered, ami cigarettes, valued at J3 13s. Gd. stolen. Those premises had boon previously entered-™ January U-whon 'cigar, ottos and postcards word, 12s. wore stolen. On January 14 tho Commercial Agency also was visited, and 13s. stolen On January 28 tho offices of Harris and Bash,,, on lhorndon Quay, wero broken into, but nothing was taken. The Technical School was broken into on January 31. but. nothing was secured. lesterday, Deteolive Cameron arrested seven boys, whose ages range from 12 to 16 years, and they will be charged as (ho en iprit s> Tn the case of the attempt at Mows Mactwan and Co.'s, an effort was made tn torco the safe. In their endeavour tho miscreants pulled the handle off, but could not gam an entrance to the contents.
