SALE OF STUD STOCK.
The joint auctioneers, Messrs. Pyne and Co., Guinness and Lo Cren, Ltd., Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., advertise that on Tuesday, February 27, they will hold an important sale of stud stock at Burnside, near Oamani. Among the stud sheep will-be a number of Border Leicester N.Z.F.B. special rams, and 221 Lincolns. These sheep are part of the Filderslie stud flock. Fifteen high-class purebred Clydesdale mares will be n feature of the sale. These mares were sired by the well-known horses Lord Salisbury, Crown Prince, Sandy_ Erskine, and Pride of Newton, and stinted to Baron Fyvie and Baron Wigton. There will nlso be sold n number of fillies and one-year colts by Raron Fyvie. During the next few days there will be a stock-taking clearance of men's ready-to-wear suits at To Aro House. Tho prices of these suits range from IDs. lid. to 395. Gil.; also iS men's tweed overcoats will bo cleared at 325. 6d. It is stated that tho usual price of these is 45<. (id. Messrs. .T. H. Bcthune and Co. insert in our auction columns an advertisement with re«nrd to a property at Petono which they are submitting on Wednesday next, at 2..10 p.m. This is part, rjf Section 78, Hutt district, ami part ■Section 19, harbour district, containing 11.11 acres, together with a right-of-way GO feet wide from the Hutt Road. On the land stand a five-roomed cottage and outbuilding. This, tho auctioneers state, is the largest available block obtainable at a moderate price within easy distance of Wellington, and they direct the attention of investors to the opportunity offered by the sale.
