The Holland-American Line is tlio latest o[ the North Atlantic companies to order ;v leviathan. This Dutch company was considered very courageous when it built its magnificent steamer Kotterdam, of 2-1,000 tons. Now it is going a step farther, and is ordering ftom Messrs. Harhmd and \\'o\i[ a triple-screw passenger steamer of 1)2,500 tons, capable iif accommodating a total of .'ItiOO passengers. The new liner will lie 710 feet long, and her beam Kli feet.
