A MORSE IN A CELLAR.

(By relccranh.—SDecixl CorreSDondenU Auckland, February 8. A peculiar accident happened to a horse last night in the. stable yards of the Imperial Bottling Company. The animal got out of its stall, and in an excursion round the yard walked over a cellar door, which collapsed under the weight, and precipitated the heavy draught, evidently head first, into a, 15ft. cellar. The drivers were quite at a loss on arrival at the stables to account for the disappearance of the horse, as the gates were securely locked. A search revealed the animal* iu the cellar, however, 'and practically unhurt, save for a deep cut on the head. A busy time followed, a strong temporary staging having to bo littcd up, alter which the horse was brought to the surface, with tho aid of a block and tackle.
