MASTERTON NOTES.
(From Our Special Correspondent.) Masterton, February 8. lhe Inspector-General of Hospitals has written the Wairarapa Hospital ami Charitable Aid Board, asking for an estimate of the probable expenditure upon new buildings dnriiijj the next five vonrs. Inquiries made by the secretary of the board show that no new buildings are likely lo be required in the l'nhiatua and ■South Wairarapa districts. In Masterton, however, important additions are lo be made to the local hospital. There is reported to be an abundance of feed in the J'ougaroa. district just now, and the country is looking- remarkablr well. Harvesting operations are in full swin" at (jladstone, and some excellent crops are reported.
