LETTERS TO THE EDITOR.
AGITATOR RULE. Sir, —Anyone who heard the utterances of the "Labour leaders" and members of the Strike Committee addressed to the mass meeting last Sunday in the Basin Reserve, could not fail to bo impressed as to the "capabilities" of those aspirants for political power, to govern New Zealand. Keeping in mind tho opinions, views, and aims of such men as .Messrs. ■\oung, Carey, Hiekcy, Keardon, and Scinple, let us picture" "God's Own Country" ruled by these men and their like. J.ho bitterness, rcvengefulncss, and unreasonableness displayed by these "leaders of Labour" during the recent strike, is an object lesson to tho whole of the Dominion and a warning as to what can bo expected should such men ever bo allowed to obtain the upper hand. "Wake up" New Zealand, before it is (oo late. The tyranny of Labour is equally cruel for tho worker and the employer. If tho agitator were disposed of, the community as a whole would bo happier and inoro prosperous.—l am, etc., ONLOOKER. Wellington, February C.
