At the recent waterside workers' conference held at Wellington (ho Greymouth men were not represented Word was received in Wellington yesterday to the eflect that proposals liad l«en drawn up by the Greymoulh waterside workers and these have been submitted to tho employers. Tho men are now seeking n conference, aud it is stated that if they do not receive an answer to their demands by to-morrow a strike may take place at the port of Greymouth.
