Half-pint breadcrumbs, lUoz. castor sugar, 1 pint milk, - oggs (yolks and whites sennr.tteil), loss, butter, 1 lemon (rind grated, juice strained), strawberry jam. Cimise a piedish with the butter, mix the breadcrumbs, Hoz. castor sugar, and the grated lemon rind together, and put them into the piedi.sh. Beat up the yolks of the eggs »\dtl the milk, and pour them over the breadcrumbs. Hake in a. moderate oven for about one hour, then spread 11 layer of jam over the top of the pudding* Whisk the whites of pggs to a stiff froth, add the remainder of tho castor sugar and lemon juice, and , put this meringue over the jam. Bake for u few minutes to ?er the whites of the eggs, and serve cold. FOR TO-MORROW. 21b. chops, broad beans, macaroons, jelly, whipped cream, strawberry jam, gelatine, Pitachio nuts.
