Welcome.—The reef was broken down last Wednesday, and is, still carrying gold, The indications continue as good as ever. Since resuiuinjv operations in the winze, 16 feet have been sunk. Thames Deep Levels—The crosscut at 10CO feel was advanced another 53 feet last week, aud is now passing through good wnrktng country of ;i jolnly nature. Another 7? feet should reach the bouudary of the Waiotahi nunc. Occidental Consolidated.-The drive south on No. 2 reef is along from the crosscut -10 feet. For the Inst 10 feet the reef lias not been broken, but. will be Ibis week.North from the crosscut, the drive is in 12 feet, and a little gold lias been seen in the reef all the way. The reef is still allowing strong gold in the. face. On the Occidental reef a rise has been started for a second stope. So far, only the reef has been stripped, but a little quartz broken with the mullock, .showed (some good dabs of i gold. r Moanalaiari.—The crosscut at 10M feet is along 350 feet in the Jloanataiari ground. The country is getting firmer and showing i I quartz veins. I tioldcn Helt.-The No. 2 rise at the low I level is b0 feet. It is in Ibe country on Hie j I footwall side.
